Thyroid nodule TI-RADS grade 3 suggests that the nodule may be benign and does not require special treatment, and it is recommended to review the thyroid ultrasound annually and follow up regularly. TI-RADS is the abbreviation for Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Systematic Classification, which classifies the benign or malignant nature of nodules according to their characteristics, of which TI-RADS grade 3 represents possibly benign. For TI-RADS grade 3 nodules, cytologic puncture is usually not necessary, and observation and regular review are sufficient. If the nodule is too large and causes pressure symptoms, surgical resection is feasible; if the nodule shows signs of malignancy at a later stage, thyroid puncture biopsy is needed to clarify the nature of the nodule. Patients with thyroid nodules are recommended to be treated under the guidance of a doctor.
