What does TPPA mean?

TPPA refers to the Syphilis Spirochete Gelatin Agglutination Test, which is used for the confirmatory diagnosis of syphilis.
The syphilis spirochete gelatin agglutination test is a common test for syphilis spirochete antigen serologic testing, which is highly specific and sensitive. Syphilis gelatin agglutination test uses ultrasonically cleaved syphilis spirochete as the antigen, and the sensitized red gelatin particles bind to the syphilis spirochete antibody in human serum or plasma, producing a red agglutination reaction visible to the naked eye.
The diagnosis of syphilis can usually be confirmed if the test result shows positive antibodies specific to the syphilis spirochete. Once diagnosed with syphilis, you should actively cooperate with your doctor for treatment to avoid delaying your condition.
