Colds can be categorized into wind-heat colds, wind-cold colds, summer-damp colds, and seasonal colds (colds caused by seasonal viruses, which are contagious, i.e. influenza). According to the different types, Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid, Cold and Fever Pellets, Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Shui, and Yin Qiao San can be given as treatments. 1. Wind-heat colds: most of them occur in fall and summer, mainly due to external wind-heat and internal loss of lung qi. This type of cold can be given with cold and cough granules, Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid, Yin Qiao San and so on. 2. Wind-cold cold: it occurs mostly after rain or in fall and winter, and is mainly caused by catching cold. Wind-cold and cold granules, cold and heat granules can be given. 3. Summer dampness cold: also known as summer cold, mainly because of the summer heat and like to be cool, usually mild fever symptoms, cold (fear of cold) is more serious. It can be treated with Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Water and Ten Drops of Water. 4. Seasonal colds: these are also known as influenza, which is serious and highly contagious.
