Bleeding from the ear canal followed by a blood crust with pain may be caused by rupture of the ear canal, otitis media, middle ear cancer and other reasons. 1. Rupture of ear canal: If pulling out the ear hard or sharp objects enter into the outer ear canal and cause skin abrasion of the outer ear canal, corrosive substances enter into the ear canal and cause skin corrosion, or damage the tympanic membrane and cause tympanic membrane perforation, all of them may lead to rupture of the ear canal. After the rupture of the ear canal, there may be bleeding from the ear canal, followed by a blood crust and accompanied by the phenomenon of pain. 2. Otitis media: Otitis media can be divided into purulent otitis media, acute otitis media and so on. Acute otitis media can cause herpetic tympanitis, and after herpetic rupture, there may be symptoms of bleeding from ear canal with blood scabs and pain, while perforation of tympanic membrane in chronic suppurative otitis media may also cause this symptom. 3.
