The constant ringing in the ears may be caused by spontaneous tinnitus, foreign bodies in the external auditory canal, and physiologic tinnitus.
1. Spontaneous tinnitus: Many people have had occasional tinnitus for a few seconds, which is often characterized by whistling. A small number of people have had tinnitus for more than 5 minutes, but it is more transient. It may be caused by a small disorder of the cochlea or brainstem function, and appears to be a constant ringing sound.
2. Foreign bodies in the external auditory canal: Foreign bodies in the external auditory canal may be caused by insects invading the ear, or objects such as hair or green beans entering the ear. 3. Physiological tinnitus: normal hearing in a very quiet environment can be heard in the ears are always ringing, mostly due to the blood circulation of the buzzing or muscle tremors, swallowing the eustachian tube open and other reasons.
