Melanoma is a malignant tumor originating from melanocytes with a high degree of malignancy; it mostly occurs in the skin, but can also be seen in the skin-mucous membrane junction, the choroid of the eye, and the soft meninges. Skin melanoma is mostly developed from nevus, and most of skin melanoma has asymmetric, irregular edge, color change, large diameter, bulging and other symptoms.
1. Asymmetry: one half of the pigmented spot of cutaneous melanoma is asymmetrical with the other half.
2. Irregular edges: the edges are irregular, there are cut marks or jagged teeth, etc., and there is no normal pigmented nevus with smooth round or oval contour.
3. Color change: Melanoma mainly appears as dirty black, but can also have many different colors such as brown, tan, brown-black, black or even white.
4. Diameter: the diameter of pigmented nevus of cutaneous melanoma is >5~6mm or the pigmented nevus grows obviously, and melanoma is usually larger than ordinary nevus.
5. Rise: In some early melanomas, the skin shows a slight rise of the whole tumor body.
Some melanomas may appear satellite foci, ulcers and repeated non-healing when they develop further.
If the above symptoms appear, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time, clarify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors.
