What are the symptoms of high sodium and low potassium

Initial symptoms of high sodium are not obvious, but aggravation or acute hypernatremia will show signs of water loss in brain cells, such as confusion, agitation, convulsions, seizures, epilepsy, coma and even death. Hypokalemia can present with fatigue, weakness, even limb flaccidity, severe dyspnea, dysphagia, and in more severe cases, asphyxia. Some people experience numbness and pain, while others experience nausea, vomiting, anorexia, bloating, constipation, intestinal numbness,, unresponsiveness, disorientation, drowsiness or coma. Others may experience tachycardia, premature waves, ventricular fibrillation, cardiac arrest or shock and sudden death. Thirst, excessive drinking and nocturia may also occur.
