Ginseng and Astragalus

Ginseng has the effects of tonifying vital energy, replenishing the spleen and benefiting the lungs, and can be used to treat diseases such as deficiency of body and desire to lose body weight, and deficiency of the spleen with low food intake. Beiqi, i.e. Astragalus, has the effects of tonifying qi and elevating yang, consolidating the surface to stop sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the muscle surface), etc. It can be used for treating diseases such as qi deficiency and weakness, oedema and urinary insufficiency.
1. Ginseng, sweet and slightly bitter in flavor, slightly warm in nature. It belongs to the lung, spleen, heart and kidney meridians.
