What is a small white dot granular on the lips

Granular white dots on the lips may be sebaceous ectopic disorder, which is caused by physiological variation in the development of lip sebaceous glands and sebaceous gland hyperplasia, mostly after the onset of youth, and more common in middle-aged people. The etiology is not very clear, but may be related to endocrine stimulation during youth development. Local stimulation and trauma can also cause sebaceous gland hyperplasia, and some patients who smoke have very obvious lesions. The lesions usually appear as small yellowish-white flat papules on the lips of the size of a pinhead, some of which can be slightly elevated and sometimes fused into yellowish-white patches with clear borders and an irregular shape. When the skin is taut, it can be seen more clearly, and there is a fine mud-like sensation when touched. Patients themselves usually have no conscious symptoms, and a very small number of patients have mild irritation symptoms, which are usually not malignant and do not require special treatment.
