What is the swelling of the scalp?

Scalp swelling is considered in the following cases: 1. angioneurotic edema or urticaria, which is mainly due to superficial dermal swelling and edema caused by allergies, and may also be caused by mental tension and stress; 2. dermatophytosis, which is an infection caused by the invasion of Staphylococcus epidermidis and Streptococcus haemolyticus due to a break in the scalp area. In addition to swelling, blisters of various sizes can be seen on the swollen surface, with elevated skin temperature and some pressure pain; 3. Herpes zoster, which can occur on a unilateral scalp area, is caused by varicella-zoster virus infection.
