Cervical effusion is not a tubal effusion. Cervical effusion caused by a tubal tumour can be seen on laparoscopy as a thickening of the fallopian tubes with an eggplant-like appearance, sometimes with superfluous material. If the cervical effusion is caused by a tubal tumour, it should be treated surgically.
