The groin is the location in the body where the abdomen joins the thighs and has a large number of lymph nodes scattered under its superficial cortex. These lymph nodes are symmetrically distributed on both sides of the body and can be divided into upper and lower clusters. Inguinal lymph node enlargement is a pathological change that occurs in this location and may be complicated by enlargement of lymph nodes in other locations.
