What is low platelet count?

Low platelet pressure accumulation refers to the low level of platelets in the patient’s blood, which may be due to hemodilution or caused by acute leukemia or aplastic anemia.
1. Hemodilution: Generally, it means that after a large amount of infusion, a large amount of water will enter into the blood of the patient, which will lead to blood dilution, and then the routine blood test will also lead to low platelet pressure accumulation.
2. Acute leukemia: due to the proliferation of leukemia cells in the bone marrow, the hematopoietic function of the normal bone marrow is destroyed, the number of platelets produced decreases, and the platelet pressure product also decreases.
3. Aplastic anemia: It is a disease of bone marrow hematopoietic failure. Because the hematopoietic stem cells are damaged, they cannot produce normal platelets, which will lead to a decrease in the number of platelets, resulting in low platelet pressure accumulation.
In either case, patients should visit the hematology department in a timely manner and be treated accordingly under the guidance of the doctor.
