Saline nose wash several times a day

Generally saline nasal rinses can be done 1-2 times a day, or it can be increased to 3-4 times if there are more purulent nasal secretions. Currently, specially formulated nasal rinses are more often used clinically for nasal irrigation. The flushing fluid can be saline, hypertonic saline, saline with gentamicin or dexamethasone, and saline with metronidazole and dexamethasone. The type of liquid flushing used should be based on the patient’s specific situation. This method helps to remove secretions from the nasal cavity and improve the microenvironment of the nasal mucosa for the purpose of treating the disease. This method does not have any side effects and is especially suitable for patients who are preferably pregnant and have rhinitis. Patients should pay attention to nasal hygiene and not to pick their nose during normal times.
