Urea creatinine ratio is the ratio of urea nitrogen to creatinine, and its low level may be caused by hepatic hypoplasia, dietary factors, and severe renal tubular injury.
1. Hepatic hypoplasia: after the ammonia in amino acids produced by protein metabolism enters the body, it is detoxified in the liver and forms urea. If the patient’s liver function decreases, the urea nitrogen produced will decrease, resulting in low urea nitrogen creatinine ratio.
2. Dietary factors: urea nitrogen is produced by protein metabolism, when long-term low-protein diet or starvation, protein intake decreases, urea nitrogen production decreases, resulting in low urea nitrogen creatinine ratio.
3. Serious renal tubular injury: urea creatinine ratio is reduced, there may be serious damage to the renal tubules or acute tubular necrosis, both of which can cause organic acute renal failure, so that the urea creatinine ratio decreased.
Low urea nitrogen creatinine ratio may also be caused by other reasons, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital in a timely manner, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
