Kidney-protective hypoglycemic agents are mainly SGLT-2 inhibitors, such as cagliflozin and empagliflozin.
1. Cagliflozin: belongs to sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor hypoglycemic drugs, the recommended starting dose is 100 mg once a day, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), severe renal dysfunction, allergic to the product patients are prohibited to use. Carglitazone may increase the risk of urinary tract infections and should be prevented.
2. Engeletin: It belongs to sodium-glucose cotransporter protein 2 inhibitor with cagliflozin. The indications and adverse effects are similar. The recommended dose is 10mg once daily.
