The bone in the pubic area is called the hip bone, and there are different names for different parts of the body. The hip bone is a fusion of three bones: the sit bones, the pubic bone and the iliac bone. Before growth and development are completed, the hip bones are three separate bones; after growth and development are completed, a fusion is created here at the hip joint, and the entire hip bone is created. Each of the right and left hip bones is then joined at the front by the pubic symphysis and at the back by the sacroiliac joint and the sacrum, forming the pelvis. Different parts of the pubic area have different names, for example, the part directly below the pubic hair is the pubic symphysis, and to the left and right of it are the pubic bones; at the bottom of the buttocks, that is, the part around the anus, the sit bones can be clearly touched; the two more prominent parts in the area where the loincloth is tied are the iliac bones. So different parts have different designations, but they are basically made up of the hip bones.
