Can you sit with internal femoral head fixation?

Usually, patients with femoral neck fracture are able to sit after internal femoral head fixation surgery. However, the specific situation should follow the doctor’s instructions to improve the postoperative rehabilitation, do not decide on your own.
Internal fixation surgery is commonly used to treat femoral neck fracture. The main treatments for femoral neck fracture include surgical treatment, conservative treatment, and functional exercise modalities. Patients with conservative treatment without surgery cannot sit in the early stage of fracture and can only sit after the fracture is completely healed; patients with internal fixation of the femoral head can usually sit in 4 to 6 hours.
After internal fixation surgery, patients can sit up in bed and take the initiative to move their knee and ankle joints if the doctor allows them to do so, which will help their recovery.
