Functions of Dandelion

The functions of dandelion are clearing heat and removing toxins (removing heat and toxins from the body), diuretic and diaphoretic (improving the problem of dribbling and urination, and the problem of small amount of urine not being passed), and subduing swellings and dispersing lumps.
1. Dandelion, bitter and cold in taste, belongs to the liver meridian and stomach meridian, is good at clearing heat and detoxification, and can be used to treat redness, swelling and heat pain in the breast, sores and poisons, and intestinal carbuncle (carbuncle that occurs in the bowels of the intestines and organs, manifested by fever, pain in the right side of the abdomen, and palpable lumps).
2. Dandelion can also detoxify the swelling and dissipate the knot, used to treat sore throat. Fresh dandelion can also be crushed and applied externally.
3. Dandelion is more effective in clearing heat and removing dampness (removing heat and dampness from the body), diuretic and diaphoretic, and can be used for treating jaundice due to dampness-heat, yellow-colored urine, and astringent pain in the urethra when urinating.
Dandelion is not suitable for patients with weak spleen and stomach, nor can it be used in large quantities; large quantities and long-term use have the adverse effects of diarrhea and abdominal pain.
Before using dandelion, you need to have a professional doctor’s identification guidance, do not use blindly.
