Lung adenocarcinoma 3B usually refers to lung adenocarcinoma in middle and late stages, which means that according to the international TNM staging method of lung cancer, the patient’s lung adenocarcinoma belongs to stage B of III.
According to TNM staging, lung adenocarcinoma can be categorized into stage I, II, III and IV. Lung adenocarcinoma stage III can also be categorized into IIIA, IIIB and IIIC, while stage I belongs to the early stage of lung adenocarcinoma, II belongs to the intermediate stage, and III belongs to the middle-late stage.
Lung adenocarcinoma 3B indicates that the patient is already in the middle or late stage of lung adenocarcinoma, which is usually accompanied by metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma foci, often including mediastinal lymph node metastasis, esophageal metastasis, etc. At this time, the lesions may involve many places in the whole body such as the trachea, large blood vessels, the pericardium and the esophagus.
Generally, radical surgical resection is not possible, and patients can only receive conservative treatment through chemotherapy, radiotherapy or immunotherapy.
Patients with stage 3B lung adenocarcinoma generally have a poor prognosis, and the treatment is based on the principle of controlling symptoms and increasing the quality of life of patients, so it is recommended that patients keep a good mindset and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment.
