What’s with the sore throat and toothache?

Sore throat and toothache may be caused by the spread of periapical inflammation leading to pterygomandibular gap infection, parapharyngeal gap infection and other diseases, as follows.

Pterygomandibular space infection: it can be caused by the spread of periapical inflammation of the mandibular molar teeth, which manifests itself as swallowing pain, accompanied by pain in chewing food and limitation of opening. 2. Parapharyngeal space infection: it may be caused by the spread of periapical inflammation of the mandibular molar, manifesting as redness and swelling of the lateral wall of the pharynx, swelling of the palatine tonsils, which may affect the ipsilateral soft palate, palatoglossal and palatopharyngeal arches, with pain in swallowing, difficulty in eating, limited opening, and hoarseness of the voice, dyspnea, etc. If the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to go to a doctor promptly for treatment.
