Can you get bladder cancer if you hold your urine in?

There are many susceptibility factors for bladder cancer, including racial factors, environmental factors, long-term exposure to chemical products, long-term exposure to radioactive substances, chronic infections, stones or congenital undegraded umbilical ureter, etc., all of which may increase the incidence of bladder cancer, but holding urine will not increase the incidence of bladder cancer. Holding urine can make the bladder mucosa in a dilated state for a long time, which can lead to hyperplasia of the trabeculae in the bladder over time and eventually lead to a lack of power for bladder contraction, and patients will experience difficulty in urination. Long-term urine holding can cause urine reflux to the kidneys through the ureter, thus causing secondary hydronephrosis, which can lead to renal failure in severe cases. Holding urine for a long time will also increase the probability of bladder infection, but holding urine will not directly increase the probability of bladder cancer or induce patients to suffer from bladder cancer directly.
