In the case of gallbladder polyps, a single polyp larger than 1 cm in diameter has a very high probability of gallbladder cancer and requires laparoscopic cholecystectomy. In case of multiple gallbladder polyps with a diameter of less than 0.6 cm, follow-up can be performed and the gallbladder ultrasound can be reviewed every 6 months to understand the changes of the polyps. If the polyp increases significantly within a short period of time, or if the polyp increases more than 0.8 cm, laparoscopic cholecystectomy can also be performed. If the polyp is a gastric polyp or a colon polyp or rectal polyp, the polyp needs to be removed under gastroscopy and enteroscopy. Since polyps in the stomach or colon may progress to malignant tumors, they should be removed early and examined by gastroscopy or colonoscopy every 6 months or once a year.
