There is no definite time for Meniere’s syndrome, or Meniere’s disease, to get well in a few days. It needs to be judged in conjunction with the clinical symptoms and severity of each patient’s condition, and the treatment and prognosis of each patient is individualized and cannot be generalized.
Ménière’s disease is caused by an imbalance in endolymphatic production and absorption, and cannot be completely cured at present. However, after active treatment, the symptoms of most patients will be relieved, but they are prone to relapse. It can be treated through general treatment, medication and surgery, and patients are advised to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
1. General treatment: Meniere’s disease will cause dizziness, hearing loss, tinnitus and other symptoms during the attack, patients need to rest in bed to prevent injuries, patients also need to pay attention to a low-salt diet, and pay attention to replenish protein and vitamins.
2. Medication: Patients can use vestibular nerve inhibitors such as diazepam and phenylephrine to control acute attacks of vertigo, and can also use drugs such as flunarizine and betahistine to improve the blood supply of the inner ear and balance the discharge rate of the bilateral vestibular nerve nuclei. The use of drugs can effectively improve the symptoms, but can not be completely cured.
3. Surgery: If vertigo attacks are frequent and severe and drug treatment is ineffective, endolymphatic sac surgery and vestibular nerve amputation can be chosen to alleviate the symptoms.
It is recommended that patients choose the appropriate treatment plan under the guidance of the doctor, and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions to use medication.
