Wrist tenosynovitis is a sterile inflammatory disease that occurs when the tendons of the wrist rub excessively against the tendon sheaths due to excessive wrist activity, or due to factors such as exertion, exposure to cold, or trauma. The main manifestations are localized wrist pain, swelling, popping and limitation of wrist joint activities. 1. Wrist pain: the pain of wrist tenosynovitis can be aggravated by strenuous activities or when doing a certain action. 2. Swelling: The swelling of wrist tenosynovitis may be diffuse and a small nodule may be felt around the tendon. 3. Snapping: When doing wrist flexion and extension activities, there may be snapping with the sliding of the tendon, which may be followed by pain. 4. Restriction of wrist movement: Restriction of movement may be caused by pain when the tendon slides, or by inflammation or enlargement of the tendon that prevents it from passing through, followed by jamming. When the above symptoms occur or suspected wrist tenosynovitis, we should consult the doctor in time, complete the relevant examinations, and take correct measures under the doctor’s guidance to avoid delaying the condition.
