Uncomfortable and rapid heartbeat

Patients who are currently unwell can lead to a rapid heart rate, and a rapid heart rate itself can lead to discomfort. For rapid heartbeat caused by physical discomfort, patients are advised to take beta-blockers to slow down the heart rate and improve myocardial ischemia, such as propranolol or bisoprolol, provided that the blood pressure is not low. In addition, patients are advised to treat the original disease to better prevent the appearance of rapid heartbeat. If the patient’s discomfort and rapid heartbeat are caused by hyperthyroidism, the patient can take oral methimazole. If the patient’s discomfort and rapid heartbeat are caused by hypokalemia, the patient can take oral potassium chloride extended-release tablets.
