What is the MOM value

The MOM value is the result of Down’s syndrome screening. A normal value of less than 2.5 proves that the risk of Down’s syndrome screening is low and that the baby is not prone to Down’s syndrome screening. Early Down’s screening is performed between 11-14 weeks of pregnancy and is mainly used to screen fetuses with chromosomal abnormalities of trisomy 21 and trisomy 18. This type of fetus is born with low intelligence that can affect the quality of life, and women can be screened for the risk of fetuses with this disorder through a blood test. If the diagnosis of Down’s syndrome can be confirmed through pregnancy testing, the pregnancy will need to be terminated by induction of labor. After the pregnancy, the fetus should be regularly monitored for growth and developmental changes, and early screening for Down’s syndrome, NT test and ultrasound for early detection of fetal abnormalities and early treatment.
