What to do if your uric acid is too high

Uric acid is too high: first, to low purine diet, means less seafood, especially shellfish, shrimp, crab and other seafood with shells, try not to eat; eat less animal offal, beef, mutton and other red meat; quit alcohol, especially white wine and beer; do not drink old fire soup; drink less high-sugar drinks and carbonated drinks. Secondly, exercise properly, control your weight and don’t gain too much weight. Then, if uric acid does not come down with diet attention, you can combine medication, take oral sodium bicarbonate tablets to alkalize urine and promote uric acid excretion, and you can take uric acid-lowering drugs, such as febuxostat and allopurinol, to inhibit the production of uric acid. If there are no kidney stones, you can take oral benzbromarone to promote uric acid excretion. During the treatment of oral uric acid-lowering drugs, the blood uric acid should be rechecked once a week. If the uric acid drops too low, the dose of uric acid-lowering drugs should be adjusted to prevent the gout attack caused by low uric acid.
