Epilepsy caused by cerebral infarction needs to be treated for the primary cause as well as the complications, usually with medication.
1. Treatment of primary disease: generally need to receive thrombolysis, anticoagulation, antiplatelet coagulation and cerebral neuroprotection. In the acute stage, drugs such as alteplase are usually used for thrombolytic therapy; in the non-thrombolytic window period, drugs such as aspirin and clopidogrel are usually used for antiplatelet coagulation therapy; in the case of cerebral infarction caused by atrial fibrillation, anticoagulation therapy with drugs such as low molecular heparin is needed.
2. Treatment of complications: if it belongs to epileptic status quo ante, it needs to receive diazepam and phenytoin sodium treatment to relieve epileptic status quo ante; epileptic seizures need to receive antiepileptic drugs such as carbamazepine and phenobarbital treatment. In addition, newer antiepileptic drugs such as oxcarbazepine and levetiracetam topiramate can also be taken.
In addition, both epilepsy and cerebral infarction are relatively dangerous, and patients need to actively seek standardized treatment.
