There is no gender difference in night sweating. Night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up) is caused by yin deficiency or deficiency of both qi and yin (deficiency of both qi and yin fluids), and the treatments are different depending on the cause of the disease, including general treatment and medication. 1. Adjust living and dietary habits: drink more water, avoid spicy and stimulating things, eat more wolfberries, fungus, jujubes and other nourishing yin and clearing heat (nourishing yin essence and removing heat) products. 2. Yin deficiency: night sweating with hot flashes (a burst of fever) and red tongue with little moss is considered as Yin deficiency, and should be treated with Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan, Angelica Sinensis Six Yellow Soup and so on. 3. Qi and yin deficiency syndrome: spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by sweating with slight movement) and night sweating are both Qi and yin deficiencies, and should be treated with Shengwei San and Zhi Gan Cao Tang. If night sweating is obvious and cannot be relieved by adjusting lifestyle and dietary habits, one should go to the hospital in time to clarify the cause of the disease and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
