What is the concept and meaning of rr value

On an electrocardiogram, the RR value, also known as the R-R interval, represents the length of time between two adjacent R waves. Clinically, the R-R interval can be measured to estimate a patient’s heart rate and to determine whether the heart rate is regular.

The R-R interval reflects the length of ventricular electrical repetition, which is commonly referred to as the time between two heartbeats. The normal value for adults is 0.6s to 1.0s, which corresponds to a heart rate of 60 to 100 beats per minute. If the patient’s R-R interval is <0.6s, the heart rate is too fast, and if it is >1.0s, the heart rate is too slow.

In addition, by measuring the R-R interval can also detect whether the patient’s heart rate is neat, if the R-R interval is uniform and equal, it means that the heart rate is neat, on the contrary, it means that the heart rate is not synchronized, premature beats and so on. If there is any discomfort, consult a doctor in time and standardize the diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of a professional doctor.
