Cold remedies that don’t harm the kidneys

Most cold medicines are difficult to cause kidney damage under normal dosage, but it cannot be ruled out that they may cause kidney damage in rare cases.
At present, the commonly used western medicines for cold and flu mainly contain antipyretic drugs such as acetaminophen, anti-allergic drugs such as chlorpheniramine, and antiviral drugs such as amantadine, which generally do not cause too much damage to the kidneys under normal dosage, but large amounts of these medicines, or in rare cases, may cause kidney damage.
Proprietary Chinese medicines for treating colds, such as Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid, Lianhua Qingdian, and Antiviral Oral Liquid, also generally do not cause kidney damage under normal dosage, but the specific adverse effects are unknown, and cannot be ruled out as a possible cause of kidney damage.
At present, there is no 100% no damage to the kidneys cold medicine, but the vast majority of cold medicines in normal doses will not affect the kidneys, especially patients without underlying kidney disease, as long as the use of medication under the guidance of the doctor will not injure the kidneys, should follow the doctor’s instructions for use of medication.
