Children with red and swollen gums are commonly due to apical periodontitis, gingival inflammation, diagnosed and need to correspond to the root canal treatment or periodontal treatment.
1. Periodontitis. Children’s teeth caries too deep can develop into apical periodontitis, inflammation in the apical area can not get drainage, will cause the apical area of the gums swollen and painful, or even swollen face, after diagnosis, need to carry out root canal treatment, remove the necrotic pulp. The presence of alveolar abscesses also need to be incised and drained.
2. Gum inflammation. Children’s gums may be red and swollen gum inflammation, poor oral hygiene, tartar accumulation in the neck edge of the teeth, causing bleeding gums red and swollen, the need for periodontal treatment, gingival scaling, and so on.
Small children with red and swollen gums are recommended to seek timely treatment to avoid the spread of inflammation.
