The following steps should be followed when the indwelling needle is infused again: 1. The check and verification system of three checks and seven pairs should be strictly implemented. For patients who have the indwelling needle infused again, they should especially check whether there is any skin infection around the area where the indwelling needle is located, such as whether there is redness and swelling of the surrounding skin and the appearance of a rash, once these phenomena are found, the indwelling needle can no longer be used for infusion and the needle should be re-tied. 2. The first step is to sterilize the interface of the indwelling needle, insert the needle with the air removed directly into the interface of the indwelling needle, then adjust the drip rate to a reasonable state, closely observe the progress of the infusion, and flush the tube if the indwelling needle catheter becomes blocked. 4. After the infusion is completed, the indwelling needle catheter should be flushed with saline and sealed with heparin. Then the indwelling needle should be fixed well and the patient should be given an explanation of precautions.
