How to remove the indwelling needle

Removal of the indwelling needle is relatively simple because it is soft and does not cause damage to the intima during the removal process. Before removing the indwelling needle, you first need to open the dressing or patch fixed on the outside of the indwelling needle, then hold a cotton swab or cotton ball in your left hand to press on the place where the indwelling needle is punctured, and pull the needle out quickly with your right hand. Then the left hand immediately presses on the location of the vascular puncture for compression to stop bleeding, usually routinely for about 1 minute to prevent vascular bleeding or subcutaneous blood leakage. Do not move back and forth or rub back and forth while pressing, and if blood is seeping under the skin, apply ice immediately to reduce bleeding.
