How to treat quadrilateral foramen ovale syndrome

Quadrilateral foramen syndrome is a series of symptoms caused by localized restriction of the quadrilateral foramen and compression of the posterior rotator humeral artery and axillary nerve due to some mechanical injury or surrounding tissue lesion. The main clinical manifestations are limited abduction of the shoulder joint and impaired skin sensation or abnormal sensation of the lateral shoulder joint. The treatment plan is usually divided into conservative treatment and surgical treatment. Conservative treatment requires lifting the cause of compression on the quadrilateral foramen, microwave physiotherapy, blood circulation and blood stasis medication, and local tretinoin closure treatment. If strictly conservative treatment is ineffective, surgical treatment can be considered to do a complete relaxation of the quadrilateral foramen, axillary nerve and posterior spinohumeral artery.
