However, positive hepatitis B surface antigen cannot clearly reflect whether the virus is replicating or not, nor can it measure the replication degree of the virus at this stage and the strength of infectiousness. Hepatitis B core antibody is different from hepatitis B surface antibody, although it belongs to the corresponding antibody of hepatitis B virus core antigen, it is not a protective antibody, and it can not prevent the virus from harming the human body, and its existence only reflects that the human body is being attacked by the hepatitis B virus at this stage. Therefore, in order to better assess the patient’s hepatitis B virus infection at this stage, it is necessary to carry out liver function tests and quantitative analysis of viral DNA carrier. If other antibodies are found to be negative while surface antigen is positive, it is necessary to carry out treatment as soon as possible in order to avoid further damage to liver function.
