Swiss EMS 4th generation lithotripsy system

Recently, a patient with complicated kidney stones was admitted to our urology department. Due to the huge and irregular stones filling the kidney, single-channel percutaneous nephrolithotomy is usually used for general kidney stone patients, but due to the special nature of the patient’s stones, it is difficult to remove the stones in the traditional way. After careful study and analysis, he decided to use double-channel percutaneous nephrolithotomy (i.e., two chopstick-sized holes in the patient’s lumbar region) together with the Swiss EMS ultrasonic lithotripsy system to remove the stones for the first time. This procedure is the first of its kind in our city. The patient is recovering well. Urolithiasis is one of the most common diseases, including kidney, ureter, bladder, and urethra stones. Initially, the treatment of these diseases was generally surgical through open surgery. Later, the medical development, the use of extracorporeal shock wave, pneumatic ballistic, holmium laser, etc., without surgery can also cure the stone, and now the international medical technology has a new breakthrough, which is the fourth generation of B ultrasound positioning percutaneous nephrolithoscopy pneumatic ballistic combined with ultrasonic lithotripsy technology, which is currently the world’s most advanced treatment of urinary stones minimally invasive technology. The advancement of this technology lies in its use of ultrasonic lithotripsy and pneumatic ballistic lithotripsy principles, and the combined treatment method of lithotripsy, in which two types of energy act on the stone at the same time, resulting in a stronger lithotripsy effect, while cleaning the stone debris out of the body, greatly reducing the operation time, reducing the difficulty of the operation for the doctor, and safer for the patient. It allows simultaneous lithotripsy and stone extraction to be done in one go, minimizing stone clearance time, effectively improving the efficiency of lithotripsy and stone clearance, and reducing the residual stone rate. A boon for patients. The Department of Urology of the Second City Hospital was once the founding place of Handan Urology, with transurethral electrodesection technology Handan pioneered. Minimally invasive lithotripsy technology fills the gap in our city. Now, the fourth generation of B-ultrasound positioning percutaneous nephrolithoscopy combined with ultrasonic lithotripsy, the first one in the city, has become the directional standard leading Handan urology.
