Rhinoplasty is a method of rhinoplasty in which the skin is incised through an intranasal incision and the cavity is separated using a peeling instrument and then implanted with rhinoplasty material. This procedure is well accepted by the general public, but there are still cases where the implant may be removed after surgery due to unsatisfactory shape, wound infection, or exposure of the implant. Usually, if the implant is removed within a short period of time, or if the shape of the tip of the nose is less altered by the surgery, the removal of the implant is relatively less traumatizing, and the nose can basically be restored to its pre-operative state. On the other hand, if the surgery is long or the shape of the nasal tip is greatly altered by the surgery, it is generally difficult to restore the shape of the nasal tip to its pre-surgical state after the removal of the prosthesis. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the reason for removing the prosthesis before removing the prosthesis, so as to make targeted treatment according to the different conditions of the patient. Usually, the recovery period after removal of nasal prosthesis should be around 3-6 months. There will be about 1 week of swelling in the nose after the removal of nasal prosthesis, but generally no special treatment and care is needed. Take oral antibiotics for 3 days after the operation as prescribed by the doctor, make sure the wound area is clean and dry, and prohibit the exposure to water in order to prevent infection. At the same time, it is forbidden to press the tip of the nose, avoid wearing glasses, avoid smoking, drinking alcohol and eating seafood, spicy and stimulating food. In the early postoperative period, patients may experience tightness or distension, which does not require special treatment and will subside on its own in 1-2 months.
