Contraindications to drinking Cao Wu Gui Zhi

Raw Cao Wu is highly toxic and is usually used after concocting. Cao Wu is contraindicated in pregnant women, and should not be used in conjunction with Semen Armeniacae, Psidium Guajava, Smallpox Powder, Phellodendron Bidentatae, and Phellodendron Zedoariae. Gui Zhi should be avoided in all cases of external heat illness, yin deficiency and fire, and blood-heat paranoia (heat evil causing blood to go out abnormally). Cao Wu has the efficacy of dispelling wind and removing dampness, warming menstruation and relieving pain. It is used to treat joint pain, cold pain in the heart and abdomen. Cao Wu should not be used in conjunction with Hanxia, Psidium guajava, Psidium guajava, Psidium guajava, smallpox pollen, Chuanbeimu, Zhebeimu, Pingbeimu, Ybeimu, Hubei Beimu, Baiyun, Baihe.
Gui Zhi (桂枝), with the effects of sweating and relieving the muscles (relieving evil qi from the surface of the skin), warming the meridians, and assisting yang in transforming qi. It is used in treating wind-cold and flu, phlegm (pathological product formed by impaired metabolism of water and fluid), water retention syndrome (a type of syndrome manifesting as dysuria, distension of the abdomen, thirst for water and vomiting after drinking, etc.), and palpitation of the heart. Pregnant women and people with excessive menstruation should be cautious.
