Minimally invasive technology has been gradually applied to all fields of thoracic surgery in recent years, and minimally invasive surgery in thoracic surgery has become a world trend. Since 2009, our department has independently and successfully carried out radical thoracoscopic lung cancer surgery, and so far dozens of cases have been successfully carried out. Some of them were done with small incisions assisted by thoracoscopy, and the small incisions were only about 5cm. Traditional radical lung cancer surgery is done under a thoracotomy incision, which is often about 25 cm long and cuts several layers of chest wall muscles and even removes several ribs, which is traumatic, causes significant postoperative pain and affects the aesthetics of the patient. Of course, thoracoscopic technology has its limitations, and this technology is not applicable to all patients. At present, it is mainly applied to some relatively early stage patients with relatively small and limited masses. This type of technology is a newly developed surgical technique in recent years, and is currently only carried out in some general hospitals in China.
