Is squamous cervical cancer treatable?

Cervical squamous carcinoma is one of the more treatable malignancies in women. Due to different pathological types, cervical cancer can be divided into several types, and squamous cervical cancer is the most common type among them. Cervical squamous carcinoma can be further differentiated into highly differentiated, moderately differentiated and poorly differentiated according to the degree of differentiation. The lower the degree of differentiation, the higher the malignancy of the tumor. The treatment of squamous cervical cancer is mainly related to the stage of cervical cancer, and early treatment has better effect. The cure rate of surgical treatment is over 70%-80%, and some patients need to combine with radiotherapy and chemotherapy after surgery to reduce the probability of recurrence. Radiotherapy is mainly used for middle and late stage cervical cancer, and squamous cancer is more sensitive to radiotherapy and has better treatment effect. Some patients with squamous cervical cancer can be cured radically after radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy. If a small proportion of patients have distant metastasis, after comprehensive treatment mainly with chemotherapy, it can relieve symptoms, improve quality of life and prolong survival time.
