Avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy food while taking the medicine. It is not advisable to take tonic Chinese medicines at the same time while taking the medicine. People with high blood pressure, heart disease, liver disease, diabetes, kidney disease and other serious chronic diseases should take the medicine under the guidance of a physician. Those who have more frequent and unformed stools after taking the medicine should reduce the dosage as appropriate. Er Chen Pills and Huanglian Shangqing Pills can be taken at the same time under the guidance of a doctor, and there is no contraindication for the two drugs.
