A high blood pressure of 100 mmHg is normal, but the entire blood pressure is normalized by the low blood pressure value, and if there is any abnormality, the blood pressure should be retested.
The normal blood pressure range is defined as a systolic (i.e., high) blood pressure <140 mmHg and a diastolic (i.e., low) blood pressure <90 mmHg. The normal blood pressure range includes normal blood pressure and normal high blood pressure, which is also normal but carries an increased risk of developing hypertension.
Normal blood pressure is defined as a systolic blood pressure <120 mmHg and a diastolic blood pressure <80 mmHg, while high normal blood pressure is defined as a systolic blood pressure in the range of 120 to 139 mmHg and/or a diastolic blood pressure of 80 to 89 mmHg.
A high pressure of 100 mmHg is consistent with normal values, but the low pressure value should also be referred to in order to determine whether the blood pressure is normal. If the low pressure is normal, then the blood pressure is normal. If the low pressure is high, the blood pressure needs to be retested to rule out chance errors.
It is recommended that patients combine the low pressure with the comprehensive judgment, if the low pressure is abnormal should be timely retesting and consultation, consult a specialist, if necessary, appropriate treatment.
