Symptoms of navel infection usually manifest as abscesses, enlarged lymph nodes, fever and other phenomena. 1. Abscess: A relatively mild form of navel infection is a localized purulent discharge with an unpleasant odor, and the umbilicus and surrounding skin will be red or abscessed. 2. Swollen lymph nodes: Severe inflammation of the umbilical fossa can lead to swollen lymph nodes in the groin, which may spread around the umbilicus, thus spreading the infection. 3. Fever: Neonatal navel inflammation can lead to infection and abscess formation after infection in the abdominal wall; or spread to the peritoneum, resulting in peritonitis, or even spread to the entire body. Severe infections can result in sepsis, which may be accompanied by fever. Patients suffering from navel inflammation should go to the hospital in time for targeted examination and treatment to avoid spreading the infection caused by improper treatment.
