Minimally invasive varicose vein surgery Q&A

Can varicose veins recur after surgery? The recurrence of varicose veins is mainly due to the failure to ligate or recanalize the main trunk of the saphenous vein, the failure to ligate the traffic branches, and the varicose veins of the small saphenous veins. Do I need to recuperate after surgery? You can go down to the ground 6 hours after surgery, and you can take care of yourself the next day, and you can do your normal work in 10-15 days, but you should pay attention to rest and avoid standing and sitting for a long time. If the vein is closed or removed during the surgery, where does the blood flow back from? We only deal with the superficial vein, which only accounts for 5-10% of the blood flow in the leg, and most of the blood flows back from the deep vein, so there is no need to worry about how the blood flows when the vein is closed. Is the surgery just to remove the tendon? We mainly close the main trunk of the saphenous vein with laser, which is less invasive than traditional high ligation and stripping and is a minimally invasive procedure, with small incisions for some of the more serious areas. Will there be scars after the surgery? Our incision is about 0.5-1cm, and the scars will not be visible after healing without careful observation, except for keloid.
