How to read the EBV test report

The EBV test report may refer to the EBV DNA, and if it is qualitative, it is only necessary to look at the negative and positive results to determine the presence or absence of this virus. This does not indicate a current infection. If all other items are negative and only these two are positive, it means that there is no current EBV infection. The presence of positive IgG and IgM antibodies to early antigens or IgM antibodies to chlamydial and nuclear antigens is indicative of a current infection.
