What’s with the constant drooling?

Frequent drooling may be normal, or it may be caused by abnormal swallowing function, facial paralysis, brain diseases, etc. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment.
1. Frequent drooling in the mouth may be caused by exuberant secretion of salivary glands, which does not affect life and is a normal physiological phenomenon.
2. Infants and young children with imperfect development of swallowing function may have the phenomenon of drooling, and when the child is a little older, it can be improved; there are also due to inflammation of the pharynx or swelling caused by swallowing abnormalities.
3. Facial paralysis may occur due to cold or facial damage, which may cause the corners of the mouth to be skewed, affecting saliva swallowing.
4. Patients with cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, etc. may have neurological abnormalities, which may result in outflow of saliva.
