The treatment of ectopic pregnancy is based on the patient’s condition, the requirement to have children and the patient’s wish to choose the appropriate treatment. The treatment includes: 1. medication. Pharmacological treatment is mainly used for early tubal pregnancies in young women who want to preserve their fertility and have no contraindications to pharmacological treatment. Methotrexate is generally used in patients with tubal pregnancy without rupture, masses less than or equal to 4 cm in diameter, blood HCG less than 2000 U/L, and no obvious internal bleeding. 2. Surgical treatment. Surgical treatment is divided into conservative surgery and radical surgery. It is generally applied to patients with unstable vital signs, obvious symptoms of internal bleeding, unclear diagnosis, ectopic pregnancy with progression, unreliable follow-up, and those with contraindications or ineffective drug treatment. Conservative surgery is mainly suitable for young women with fertility requirements. Radical surgery is suitable for patients with tubal pregnancy without fertility requirements.
