Does Sildenafil Prevent Alzheimer’s?

Dementia is also known as Alzheimer’s disease. Recent studies have shown that sildenafil has a potential anti-Alzheimer’s effect, but no studies have shown that it can prevent the disease. The pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease is complex, and the mainstream view is that the cause of the disease is a large number of neuron deaths caused by the deposition of Tau protein and β-amyloid. Recent experiments have shown that sildenafil can significantly improve the learning and memory ability of mice in several animal models of Alzheimer’s disease in animal experiments, but no studies have shown that this drug can reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. The effects of sildenafil on Alzheimer’s disease are still being studied and have not been put into clinical use. If there are any related problems, please use the drug under the guidance of your doctor, and should not use the drug indiscriminately to avoid adverse consequences.
